Guest evad Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I think someone already mentioned this issue in The official 'I got my TyTN II thread' thread, but I must say I'm a bit concerned - it's about two 'halves' of device, one with screen, second with keyboard, which seem to be somewhat loose against each other. When keyboard's closed, pressing the left side of device creates quite significant gap between halves (like 1-2 mm) on the right side. Hermes and even Wizard were very solid in that matter, but there were no display tilt... However, it makes the impression that Kaiser could be actually quite fragile device, which might not survive and end up broken in two pieces after unexpected landing on the pavement - for example - like my good old Wizard once survived with just a few scratches... What do you guys think? Do you have the same impression, and halves in your Kaisers are also a bit loose, or do I have a bit faulty unit?
Guest 3waygeek Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I've noticed it too. I'm not too worried about it; my Wizard has a somewhat greater side-to-side looseness, but it's worked fine the last 18 months.

It is not loose and seems fine. good luck.
Guest Phil66 Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 Hi evad. I am actually new to this. My TyTn II survived 3 landings on the floor without any problem. However, when I was walking my dog "buddy", it fell on asfalt and got a little bit scratched on the lower left side of the device. However, I have the sad impression that some display tilting that was "phisiologically" present when I bought it (similar to the one you describe in your message), has increased since that last crash. In the closed position, the two left sides of the halves do not match perfectly any more. I went to a dealer and asked for seeing a new device and I noticed that the one they had for display did not have any tilting ol loose "screen-device" mechanical connection. Are you aware of any disassembling/assembling procedure that can reduce the distance between halves or reduce the screen tilting? Beyond the scratches, this issue really bothers me. By the way, my TyTn works just fine and, after my incidents, you should be reassured that it is a very robust product.
