Bluetooth issues

I have an S710 and in the car have a Parrott LS3200 car kit.

Now the car kit worked well for a year, first with my Jamin and now with the S710 but in the last few weeks I have started to have problems.

The phone still syncs the address book etc and functions correctly until you enter a call. At this point I am getting what can only be described as radio interference which is so bad as to make you give up. It is almost as if there is something in the car degrading the signal as it kind of drifts in and out in a similar way to a porrly tuned in FM radio.

But here is the concern.

If I physically switch off the phone and restart it, it works perfectly. Nice clear signal and so on. So this tells me that the problem is with the phone and not the car kit.

But I can't work out how.

With a bluetooth headset it always works fine so am at a loss on this one.
