Guest kapot Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Hi, I just created a video example using my new HTC Kaiser (see attachment). But, why it is so bad? Those people were just walking normally, not running. The movements were recorded very blurry. Did I do wrong? There is no fancy setting, just use video mode ... Is it because of indoor situation? Or my device is faulty? Please help me ...VIDEO_001.mp4
Guest LaSepultura Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 (edited) Mine is very blurry too. Nowhere near the awesome quality of Paul's sample video where he was walking around outside near his car. I dunno. Edited September 11, 2007 by LaSepultura
Guest mikeeey Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 (edited) Hi, I just created a video example using my new HTC Kaiser (see attachment). But, why it is so bad? Those people were just walking normally, not running. The movements were recorded very blurry. Did I do wrong? There is no fancy setting, just use video mode ... Is it because of indoor situation? Or my device is faulty? Please help me ... i cant even open this video. ive tried WMP, TCMP, Quicktime, and they all say the video is corrupted. EDIT: i was able to convert it to AVI and watch, yes, it's too fast. with my sda it was like that using the default camera program recording in the MP4 format. im sure if coolcamera worked it would be fine. some people ive talked to on youtube they say their camera worked fine. do you think there has been some faulty kaisers out there? Guest kapot Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 It was because of low light condition (indoor). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=328628
Guest LaSepultura Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 I attached an example. I guess it's not TOO bad. I tried moving the camera up and down and left and right to show the blurryness.VIDEO0002.mp4
Guest LaSepultura Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Okay, I spoke too soon. This is probably the MOST blurry video I have ever taken. Notice the blurryness stops once the monitor comes into focus.VIDEO0004.mp4
Guest sc0user_75 Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Lads, I tried to view all your clips - but not one of them opened! Any ideas why? I'm using a Mac, and I clicked on the links and that didnt work. So I then downloaded the files and that also did not work?!?!?!?!
Guest kapot Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 sc0user_75, I use Quicktime to open the .mp4 file. That strange, you are using Mac ;)
Guest sc0user_75 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Kapot, thats what I tried to use too. But nothing!?!?!?
Guest LaSepultura Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Aye, I can't open in Quicktime either. I'll repost some videos in the other format that does play in Quicktime as soon as I get a chance. In the meantime let me describe my issue in detail and please input your experiences. Testing it this morning outside 9:45am the camera worked perfectly. As soon as I walked indoors and the inside came into focus while the sun outside went out of focus the camera dropped in frames per second dramatically. Moving the camera or just walking would cause blurryness. So the main problem is indoor shooting. Could my fellow Kaiser owners test out their camera indoors and post back their results. I'd like to get at least one person to say "i have no problem" so I can call HTC.
Guest LaSepultura Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I called HTC support today. The operator said he had never heard of this issue and put me on hold. After talking to a senior engineer he told me that this is normal and that I could change the AutoFocus to Regular instead of Auto and that would make the blurryness go away but make the picture grainy. I cannot find any AutoFocus setting other than the "White Balance". So I have no idea.
Guest kapot Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Yeah, I tought that too, to disable the autofocus. But how? Maybe you can call back HTC support and ask ;) A registry setting? could be ...
Guest fusi Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 to me it looks like its white balancing software that's causing the slow down
