Samsung i600 WM6rom updated, now ring tones are quiet for first 2 seconds

I have updated my i600 to WM6 using the Nordic ROM, then resetting the region to UK.

Now whenever the fone rings the first 2 seconds of the ring are 90% muted

I have tried RINB, Ring & vibrate etc etc, and the prolem persists

any ideas ?
