Guest El Boyo Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 (edited) Hey Today I was listening to some music on my vpa compact III on Windows Media Player through the Storage card library, after i closed Media Player down there was no Storage Card library on my media player when i re-opened it. I've clicked update library, it finds my music but only adds music on the internal memory and has a n error message of 'Storage Card Library is write protected and cannot accept new entries'. What should i do? Edited September 16, 2007 by El Boyo
Guest El Boyo Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Using HTC Audio Manager Know
Guest mitch1974 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Delete the MSMETADATA folder from the card and update the library again. It's a problem with Mediaplayer not giving the card enough time to respond and then just thinking that there is no card inserted. Here's one way to fix it; Open up a Registry editor and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager Then change the values of PNPUnloadDelay and PNPWaitIODelay to 8196 (that's the Decimal value, in Hex it's 0x2004) And then soft reset. As usual, playing around with your Registry is dangerous and should only be attempted if you know what you're do, or just don't care about screwing your machine up ;)
Guest El Boyo Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 It didn't work. Im using WM6 HTC Version if that helps?
