Bluetooth car kit not working with WM6

I took delivery of a new M3100 on Orange insurance yesterday after the screen died on my 6 month old M3100, (replacement delivered within 24 hours, on a Sunday no less. Orange insurance... about the only good thing about Orange!) and decided to take the step of going to WM6 as I was going to have to do a full re-install anyway. Installed the latest Schaps WM6 ROM and loved it. Until I got in my car and tried to make a call. Got no sound out of the car speakers, and the caller couldn't hear me. Same happened when I called out. Have done a bit of research, and this seems to be a common problem with WM6 ROMS and most car Bluetooth handsfree. Bit of a deal breaker for me, so have rolled back to the latest Orange WM5 ROM, (which works perfectly with the car kit by the way). Car is a 2007 Citroën C4 5 door hatchback with a factory fitted Bluetooth Hands free.

Firstly...

Beware, if you're car hands free is important to you and you don't want to change your car just to use WM6 upgrade with caution, and prepare to roll back.

Secondly...

Has anyone found a fix for this, or a WM6 ROM that works? I'm told even the official HTC WM6 ROMs have this problem, so looks like M$ may have screwed up the Bluetooth stack once again. :-(

Hi,

It was an option to replace the std unit on a Subaru.

The P85BT can be bought for about £230 I believe. It comes with a microphone but not the ISO connector so factor in another £10-15.

Unfortunately mines a factory fitted option (on a Citroën C4), and this issue seems to effect a lot of factory fitted bluetooth kits. Anyone else have any experience with this?
