deleting multiple text messages

How can i delete multiple (or all) text messages in certain folders (inbox, sent etc). Either i am a dim wit or i cant seem a simple way of doing it apart from painfully deleting one by one. Oh, on a S710 by the way.

Go to the messaging section and select text messages. Press the menu button and select Folders (or press #5). Hilight the folder you want to empty, press the menu button and select Clear Text Messages (or press #3).

Go to the messaging section and select text messages. When you see the list of sms messages, you can delete one by holding 7.

This way you won't have to confirm every deleted message. easy when you want tot delete 10 or 20 sms.
