s710 Blank Screen

Hi guys,

Newly registered but this site seems to have a lot of useful info on the s710. Anyways was using my phone yesterday and made a quick call, after hanging up and placing my phone on the table i noticed that the screen had gone blank. Tried powering it off and back on, removing the battery for a few minutes etc... and the phone switches on but the screen is just black with a hint of backlight, phone itself seems to function as a i can call people and receive calls etc... but obviously screen isn't working.

Anyone heard of this problem or got any suggestions as to what could be causing it? Please help ;)

I'm having the same problem...even posted about it in this forum (see post here), but haven't been able to get any help/answers other than "perform a hard reset"...which I've tried and DOESN'T work.

I've received an RMA from MobilePlanet (purchased from them...great people, actually) and have to send it in for warrantee repairs.

Unfortunately, this is my SECOND Vox from them (first one had keyboard problems where the Function, Shift & Return keys would work intermittently at best.) Hope three's a charm, as I really do love this phone.

Let me know how you make out...I'll update when I get word or my phone back from them (whichever is sooner), but it's going to be like 4-6 weeks ;)
