SPV M3100 clock

A quickie for the experts out there. I have a 10mnth old SPV M3100, which is now showing problems, one of which is;

The clock is not updating on the unit. It still shows the time from the previous time it was on. For the clock to update I have to start a call then stop it and get back to the today screen. Is this heard of and how do I sort this out?...it was not happening when it was new (I think) - about 10 months ago.

Any ideas?
