Guest Snooginsguy Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Hey y'all, I have a bit of a silly question. I'm thinking of upgrading from my Faraday to a Kaiser, but I've purchased a few programs for the Faraday that I'd like to carry over to the next device I get. Does anyone know, generally speaking, if it's possible to use smartphone programs on a Pocket PC device? I know they aren't usually compatible the other way (i.e. pocket PC on smartphone) but I was under the impression that was mainly because of the touch screen issue. Thanks!
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Generally speaking, as you say, they are not cross-compatible either way. It all comes down to stylus v keypad control.
Guest Confucious Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 You would be suprised how many are compatable and how many will let you use one key on both devices. Best bet is to ask the s/ware writers for the apps you are interested in.
