After installation it said that device needs to be rebooted. I pressed "OK". And thats it. It keeps rebooting, I tried to take off battery, but it did not help. It keeps rebooting. Please help!

Please help! did you install to mem card or device? mine s710 just did that after installing to mem card. pulled battery and mem card and it rebooted twice. now up and running.... good luck. t

Guest Espensodal Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Everything named "Norton" can only mean troubles... :wub: theres a number of methods to overpass this problem, had trouble with it numerous times myself. 1 the simplest: remove batt, and memory card, then boot it up. (if it doesnet work it will hang on the second htc logo screen) 2: remove batt and memory card, boot it up, let it go through the first HTC screen and the win mobile screen, and at once the screen reaches the second HTC logo, quickly reinsert the mem card. 3 if 2 is unsuccessfull, repeat 1, but let it lie still for a while, them take out battery and repeat 2. 4 slide out your qwerty during boot and type like crazy on it. one of these methods should work, at least theyve done for me about 50 times now. 5 hard reset your phone (push the two softkey buttons and hold them in while booting your phone until u see black screen with white text and follow instructions. hope this helps ;)

Guest snake boots Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Remove the SD card, reboot and insert the SD card I had the same problem today, was testing some new wireless router until my phone keeps making error reports and the memory is full. Then suddenly my phone hangs up. I turn my phone off and on and keeps rebooting. I search on google and came to this site where they say to put out battery and mem card. I did it and it works for me. Thanks people. I hope they give us soon a firmware update with lot of bug fixes.

Guest wizgnome Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 My phone started suffering from the reboot problem and it would only boot up if I removed the SD card until the phone was up and running. Today I managed to get the phone to boot with the SD card inserted! I know that when booting that I do not run any applications which are installed on the SD card. But the home screen does display things which are located on the SD card - in particular the skype plugin, and the mru list display icons from files located on the SD card. I changed my homescreen to "Sindows Simple" which does not contain either of these and re-booted. The phone came back up first time! - Is windows trying to access the card too soon - before the driver has loaded maybe? Mike
