Guest nobspangle Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 (edited) Just upgraded my XDA graphite to wm6, I have the phone set up to sync with the exchange server at work. The server requires me to have a simple PIN to protect my device. On wm5 I was prompted for the PIN when I switched the phone on and about once a day which was fine. With wm6 I am now prompted for the PIN when unlocking the keylock. This is extremely annoying, does anyone know how to turn this off. Edited September 22, 2007 by nobspangle
Guest slider Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 click settings, click personal tab, click lock then untick the tick box next to "prompt for password if device unused for"
Guest nobspangle Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 XDA graphite is a smartphone so no personal tab, but I know the setting you mean. The problem is the exchange server at work forces that box to be ticked. On wm5 you were only prompted for the password once a day or on startup. In wm6 you are prompted every time you unlock the keypad. There must be some way to change this on the phone. Currently I have worked around it by disabling the security requirement for my mailbox on the exchange server but if someone knows how to change this on the phone it would be good to know.
