Crossgrading to a business account from a personal account on T-Mobile... Possible?

Long story short, I tried to sign up as a business customer (via the TM web site) back in September last year, but ended up going into a shop because I wanted my Vario 2 then and there (and TM Direct could only promise a minimum 2 week wait during which time I'd be phoneless and without service from any provider). Anyway, I ended up getting signed up as a personal customer, and that's not what I wanted, but at the time it wasn't that big of a deal.

However, the more I've been thinking about it the more I'd like to crossgrade my account to a Business account, mainly because I might be able to start claiming back VAT soon (that'll be nice if it works out!) However, I'm 12 months through an 18 month contract and the online panel says that I'm not eligible for an upgrade on my handset until the last month of my contract (bloody March!) I'd like to switch to a Business account sooner rather than later, but I'm not sure how to go about it (or whether it's even worth bothering!)

Any tips guys? If others concur with my first idea, to just ring them up and give it a go, then I might do so, but I don't want to start another 18 month contract if I change over, so should I wait until February and try again?

Of course, the rollout of the Vario 3 has nothing to do with the expediting of this thought process. ;) (it just helped)

Give them a ring and ask! I wouldn't have thought it woiuld be a problem.

I always had a personal account but claimed the VAT back (I paid through my business account) until they changed the rules for small businesses where you can just claim a % of your output VAT as input so don't need to claim for individual items.

Mind you, that was when I was working for myself and earning good money and not a pathetic wage slave like I am now ;)
