Here is a thread about it at XDA-Developers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332992 Anyone here have this issue? I am in the US and bought my UK version TyTN II from Elite-Electronix and had no issues registering with HTC e-club. My serial had a GB in it AND I did get the TomTom Taster version CD in the box. Good Luck resolving this! I hate dealing with this sort of thing!
Guest dolbe666 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 the first thing I did was register with HTC's e-club. I had no issues with my registration either and my serial had the GB in the serial. i got mine from devicewire.co.uk Any idea just what websites have been involved in selling these middle eastern Kaisers?

I bought mine from http://www.onthegosolutions.com Bought several phones from them in the past... never had an issue. My s710 came from the same store. That phone registered fine. Somehow I don't think these are grey market or fake phones... I think we'd be having all kinds of trouble with them if they were. Everything works like a charm on mine. I just want to be sure I can get warranty support and new ROMS when they come out.
Guest NuShrike Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 egadgetdepot.com, GB, no problems.
Guest fusi Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 superetrader.co.uk, GB, no probs
Guest sqadan Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 superetrader.co.uk, GB, no probs It looks more than likely that the GB is in the serial for all kaisers... It's starting to look more like the people having trouble registering are the ones who did not get TomTom though.

Guest FloatingFatMan Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 People have also started noticing an odd model number, the KAIS130 (Mine is as well!), yet weren't only a 100, 110 & 120 announced? Could it be that the 130 is T-Mobile's model, but some of those motherboards have been used with the standard phone front? Might explain why they won't register on e-club.

Ive just checked mine and its also KAIS130. It could be that they have decided to just change to code numbers for the different builds. I think the original numbers where meant to be 100, 120, 200
Guest pestekkorna Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Got mine on superiorgadgets.com (canada) but it is a UK device. No problems registering on the E-club. Did the persons who registered it find any upgrade for the tytn II? Sorry for the OT. Gennaro
