Quick question about Vario3 battery

Just a quick question for all you new Vario3 owners.

Can somebody confirm for me if the Vario2 & 3 use the same battery

Reason being is I currently have a spare battery I use with the Vario2 but that's going on ebay as soon as my 3 arrives and I need to know if I can keep using the spare or throw it in with the sale if my Vario2

if its anything like the TyTN 1 and TyTN 2, the batteries are slightly different, but different enough that it wont fit. Ah well
