USB Internet Connection Keeps getting Reset

Hi,

every day I have to go into connections/USB to PC, click on the menu and select advanced, then click on the menu and select options and finally change 'My Desktop connects to' The Internet from Work.

Now for some reason, it keeps changing the setting back to Work everyday - not sure when, but I've checked the setting after midnight and it had not changed.

I haven't connected the phone to any other computer nor used wifi or made any other connection to the intenet.

So can someone tell me why it's being reset, how to stop it or get round the problem.

Also, how does the phone know when I'm connected to my work computer?

It has proxy settings and works with no problem at all, but how does the phone know which connection to use?
