Guest RmX Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, have searched around to make sure I'm not repeating questions asked previously. Basically, got my Kaiser when it first got out and got a vodafone contract for it. All was working swell for 2 weeks untill it suddenly decided to stop connecting to 3G round my university (where it used to work perfectly for 2 weeks). reset my settings a dozen times, went as far doing a hard reset for the phone still same problem. (Obviosuly I tried ringing vodafone for help all they said was "everythings fine with the network, you have a faulty handset"). After playing around with the settings found out that unticking hsdpa option allows me to connect to 3g round campus, otherwise I just get an error message saying it cannot connect for an unkown reason, when I go to town it works fine with the option ticked on. I can understand not all areas have hsdpa cover but the handset usually steps down to the next available thing. (know I still get a full 3g signal , just wont connect with the option on) Tried my mates T-mobile sim card, that worked fine without a problem. Has anyone faced a similar problem? would it be a faulty handset or is it just an error from vodafones end? Thanks
