Anybody actually replace the screen on their Faraday/Cingular 2125 with success? I'm tired of not having a screen. I want to buy one off Ebay, but not too confident in my skills. Is it difficult to do on your own?

Thx ;)

Replaced my i-mate sp5 screen. Fixed with no skills in 10 minutes.

I purchased 2 sp5 screens from eBay china, managed to get 1 working but the other screen seems to be a dud.

I think the ribbon cables are very sensitive, or have some kind of grounding issue, almost as if the ribbon has to touch the metal screen backing or it wont let the phone screen turn on.

Anyway, im onto screen #3 now, these phone screens really p!ss me off. Very weak design.

Hi.

I just replaced my screen on my Cingular 2125 yesterday. Got a screen cheap from China. Just make sure ya got the right screwdriver - Torx T5, I believe.

Went flawlessly, didn't use any instructions from anywhere - just winged it. Just be careful in there.
