Tytn II ordered from Orange

I've just placed an order with Orange for Tytn 2 !

Only problem is they can't give me a delivery date. Possibly 'available' from the middle of next week, but could be 2 or 3 weeks.

It is on a Business tariff.

I had to compromise on the data bundle, they couldn't offer anything as good as Web'n'Walk.

I rang them twice yesterday (150 and the 0800 number) and both people said the device isn't on their system yet so it cannot be ordered. I know resellers are taking advance orders, but Orange are point blank refusing to (and I spend a fortune with them).

Keep trying. It was the fourth person I spoke to that actually accepted the order, the others refused. I found using the magic word "T-Mobile" a lot helped ;)

I don't imagine, though, this means we'll get Kaiser any quicker - but at least the order is placed, the non-Kaiser phones we wanted are due today and we are on a cheaper tariff from the next billing date. And more data too, but if it wasn't for the price being a lot cheaper with Orange we'd have moved to T Mobile and Web'n'Walk Plus.

I can't see retentions being able to put a sale through, they won't of even had pricing for the handset yet. And it's not even listed on their comming soon website. Guy I spoke to in Retentions on 1st October explained that the review page was going to be updated that day and that he was aware of a new HTC device being released - however did not know the model name or anything about the handset. So can't see them putting through a sale, I think Sten that O has promised something they can't fulfill.

They did deliver the non-Kaiser handsets yesterday as promised, so I'm hopeful. No date for Kaiser though.

Price of all phones was foc, so perhaps not having a published price wasn't a problem. Presumably as they have part-shipped they can't renege on the contract, and O have always dealt with me fairly in the past (though not always competently !).
