Guest pjam001 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 This may have been obvious to others but it just dawned on me to try it and it works no problem. I was worried that using the internal gps wouldn't give me enought battery time for some gps based uses. Like many, i already have a bluetooth gps, that gives ample hrs of usage, but thought i wouldn't be able to use it due to the problem with changing the microsoft gps comms settings. As it happens, which i should have realised, just setting up the bt gps on comm 6 without touching the problematic hardware/software comms settings, works fine. just select comm 6 rather than auto or comm 4 within the required app. The internal gps doesn't start up, therefore longer battery life. sorry if this is obvious, but worth being aware of i think. pjam
