OK, my dad is using a Palm Pilot at the moment. He wants to get a new cell phone/PDA, and I suggested that he get a phone with windows mobile. I showed him my Dash and he really liked it. However, he has A LOT of contacts on his Palm, and he does not want to take the time to manually translate each one onto his phone. Is there any way that he can do it with some sort of download?

You need to make an intermediate step between PalmOS and WM. Try first synchronizing with Palm Desktop on the PC. Then you should be able to save contacts to i.e. a CVS file. I should be possible to open it in Outlook or ActiveSync (?) and send to the smartphone.

Connect Palm to PC. Using the Palm software, export it to CSV.

Then import the CSV to Outlook Contact.

Once done, use Activesync to sync the contacts to his new phone.

Sorted.
