Guest Confucious Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I got my W'n'W contract when they first did unlimited browsing for £7.50/ month. I since upgraded it to W'n'W Plus at £12.50/ month along with Flext 35 Total cost £35 + £12.50 = £47.50 less 25% discount = £35.63 per month To upgrade they offered me a choice of new phones OR £15 off per month - I took the £15 off so now I will be paying £20.63 a month. For that measly fee I get: Up to £180 off calls/texts/MMS (calls 20p texts 10p MMS 25p) to be used in any combination I want. This is far more than I will ever use in the month but I have used over half of it which is the next plan down. Unlimited data (FUP of 3Gb) which includes allowing me to use my phone as a modem, HSDPA etc - basically everything except VOIP which I have never used. I was a bit weary of signing up for an 18 month contract originally but the time has flown. T-Mobiles Customer Service is exemplary and always a pleasure to deal with. Their coverage everywhere I go (apart from 1 pub where all phones have problems) has been full HSDPA so no problems there. I have never been charged for usage above my plan nexcept the odd premium rate text for competitions which I new about - never any hidden suprises. I have an Ameo so don't wish to change my phone and so am quite happy to sign up for another year at £20 / month! I am a happy bunny ;) Just thought - if the £15 pounds is deducted before the 25% I will be paying £24.38/ month - still an absolute bargain for what I'm getting
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Sounds like you got a good deal! My only gripe with 18 month contracts is that unlike yourself, i get bored of handsets every 3 months or so. I'm on an 18 now but won't do it again!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Find a friend at T-Mo to up your discount to 50% then you'll REALLY be laughing ;) P
Guest Confucious Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Find a friend at T-Mo to up your discount to 50% then you'll REALLY be laughing  P I have no friends :D Does anyone on here who works for T want a new friend? ;) I buy my phones of eBay, sold the phone I got with the contract straight away.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I think my next device has to be a VGA Vario III ;), can't see much tempting me for a while! P
Guest Confucious Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Can't see anything to replace my Athena for a while. but a vga Vario III might do it ;)
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Not even the Pantech Duo Paul? ;p
Guest Confucious Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 The Pantech C810 is only QVGA isn't it? And only 1.3Mp camera. Not sure about the "Pantech Duo Paul" tho. ;)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 1.3MP is a downer, GPS is a must and as yet is unconfirmed! P
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 I'm now starting (finally) to give up on cameraphone cameras now. A flash is a must when out an about and the k800/810 is the only handset with one worth mentioning. As such as long as the camera is *ok* i'm now not too bothered!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 I can't say I hugely miss having a flash on my Kaiser! That said, if I'm going out and I know i'm gonna take pics, I take my DSLR / Camcorder / Little Digicam. Kaiser is fine for unexpected shots! P
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I've recently had to leave T because the coverage at home was unreliable. Ended up on V, but now find myself thinking "I wonder how much data I've used", or "I wonder how many minutes I've got left" which never even occured to me when I was with T. The irony is that it was the data that was unreliable at home, and my reliance on the data came from T making it affordable for me to start using it in the way I did. If their coverage improves, and I suspect it must at some point, then I'll go back but for the next 18 months I on V and time is dragging!
Guest Confucious Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 T are improving coverage all the time - but doesn't help if you can't get it where you are! I would hate to have limited databut luckily T coverage is fine in Woking where I'm moving too ;)
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Yeah, the GF was very unimpressed when (on the second viewing) I went round the house checking coverage, but you know, it's important!
Guest Confucious Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 hehe I check my g/f's coverage all the time - maybe that's why we are moving in together :-D
Guest Confucious Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Just got my bill through - was horrified at how much it was. Until I realised I'd been using abroad for work so can claim it back. My basic bill is now £17.54 +VAT - ie £21.52 / month ;) Not bad for Flext35 and W'n'W Plus

Hate to tell you this mate but V uses T's network so you can't or shouldn't be getting any better reception. If you are getting a more reliable connection then it may be that the handset you are now using is better at dragging in the signal
