Guest marisa4755 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 (edited) After no problems ever for months, I suddenly couldn't connect this morning. Checked everything several times, then called 150. The guy confirmed that T-Mobile UK are having GPRS problems all over their network today, and are working as quickly as possible to fix this. Just thought I'd pass this on if anyone else was having trouble. Edited October 8, 2007 by marisa4755

Well apart from the the open wireless network at the University accross the road. But that's illegal. FrankyG
Guest StuBFrost Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Thanks for posting that. I thought it was just me not connecting. Stu
Guest =DJ= Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Phew!! That's good to hear! Well...you know what I mean! I was mucking around with all my connectivity settings last night (trying to persuade my new Kaiser to use wifi to surf rather than 3G) and all this morning I've been thinking I've borked it already! I was about to "learn up" on hard resetting  I've just joined t-mobile, so clearly it must be my fault... ;)
Guest marisa4755 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Thanks for posting that. I thought it was just me not connecting. Stu The really annoying thing is that last night I set up Mail2Web push mail for the first time, and everything was going really well, I was quite pleased with myself! All was working OK until 2.30 am. I set it up to sync again as from 7.30, and when I looked at the device this morning, it hadn't connected. So, of course I assumed it was me, and something I'd 'done'. After an hour of fiddling about and getting messages like: "The remote party has ended this connection"! I even checked online to make sure my bill had been paid! As a last resort I contacted CS and they told me there were problems all over the country, not just near me. Anyway, if it's any consolation, he did say that as it's such a widespread problem it's getting A1 priority for fixing.
Guest Phil Lee Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Thanks for letting us know. I was wondering why I couldn't connect to mail2web.
Guest marisa4755 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Thanks for letting us know. I was wondering why I couldn't connect to mail2web. I was really impressed with mail2web. I thought it would all be really difficult to do and technical and give me a migraine, but I downloaded the setup file and it was a breeze - well, until T-Mob's gprs went down that is... It's only been worth doing for me since I found out that I could easily forward hotmail or live or whatever they're calling it now. In the past you couldn't do that, so it's a real plus.
Guest Happy Dave Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 cheers, i was about to hard reset !

Guest Confucious Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Same thing again this morning. Not funny. ;) No prob for me today - anyone else having problems?
Guest StephenR Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I currently cannot connect to T-Mobile GPRS/3G with my Vario III. I've only been with T-Mobile less than two weeks and this is not the first time I have had no connection, so not too impressed so far (what am I paying £7.50/month for?). The question is whether it is the phone or the network - anyone else having problems?
Guest StephenR Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Hmm, soft reset sorted it. Bit worrying though. I had an email at around midday which didn't come through to my phone, so it must have died before then. Very strange.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Installed anything that could be conflicting? P
Guest StephenR Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Installed anything that could be conflicting? Not that I can think of. Seems to be working fine now. I noticed last night the icon in the task bar went from 3G to GPRS. Maybe it lost the 3G signal and then didn't re-establish it until I forced it by soft resetting? I'm guessing now, as you can probably tell! Think I'll just put it down to "one of those things" and see how it goes.
Guest Confucious Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 no network problems here today. T are usually V good. I doubt if itt is them that is the problem unless it is a local thing - more likel aprob with the phbone.
