Guest morfmedia Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 If you go into WLAN settings it looks like it's listed under BSSID.
Guest knonist Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 If you go into WLAN settings it looks like it's listed under BSSID. got it, but it is strange, instead of showing as xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ; this data on the phone is showing up as xx-xx-xx-xx-xx also, regardless what I have done to the phone, i cant permanmently connnet to my own router! i can see it showing up on connection, and i can see all the speed etc from it, however after 1-2 minute of connection, it will pop up a warning and say it has been disabled.
Guest lozzd Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 BSSID is the base station Mac address. From memory, the phones mac address is in the next tab along or something...
Guest knonist Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 BSSID is the base station Mac address. From memory, the phones mac address is in the next tab along or something... I have now removed the mac address filter from my router, and i seems to got the connection. HOWEVER, after a minute or so, it will disconnect itself again showing the same warning saying disconnection. I have tried to reset it already
Guest Neil5459 Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Have you tried Start/Settings/Connections/Wirelass Lan, then going to the Power tab, and moving the slider fully Left (Power Mode) and Unchecking the Power Save checkbox?
Guest knonist Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Have you tried Start/Settings/Connections/Wirelass Lan, then going to the Power tab, and moving the slider fully Left (Power Mode) and Unchecking the Power Save checkbox? tried everything!! Even disabled all the securities on my network! It showed it was "assoicated" and showing all Rx rate as 54 and Dx rate as 1; but after about 30seconds of connection, it will disconnect itselfs and and unable to connect! Call T mobile, then they push me to HTC, and then HTC said I have to call their tech support and gave me a 0845 number to call!! When I called, there was a message saying their opening hour is 9am - 4.30 pm, and it is now 5 o clock!! I would not be able to call during work tomorrow and I am really annoyed!
Guest LaSepultura Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Have you tried Start/Settings/Connections/Wirelass Lan, then going to the Power tab, and moving the slider fully Left (Power Mode) and Unchecking the Power Save checkbox? I don't have this Power Save checkbox. My Kaiser keeps shutting the screen off and disconnecting from WiFi. Is there anyway to keep the WiFi contantly on?
Guest Neil5459 Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 No- WLAN eats power at a fast rate, so keeping it on would drain the battery very fast. It is designed to turn off when the device goes into standby. Your only option is to have it connected to external power, with the Power settings set to never go into standby when on external power. You could then use one of the 'Screen Off' utilities to turn the screen off, but leave the core device 'awake' when you weren't actually using it. Oh- & sorry, I was a bit incorrect about the Power Save checkbox- it is actually labelled: Turn WLAN off if not used for... with a selector for the timeout. Same effect though!
Guest ChefChaudart Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 When you try, be sure you are not connected in USB.
