Problem with Route 66 Mobile 7 for Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone

I have a question which I am hoping you might be able to help me with....

I have a HTC S710 and wanted some sat nav software. I already have a bluetooth gps receiver and opted for Route 66 Mobile 7 software.

I installed the software onto my micro SD card using a USB card reader as prompted by the instructions on the CD. Once I inserted the micro SD card into my phone the software automatically installed.

I selected the Route 66 icon and the software started. It searched for my Bluetooth GPS receiver and moved onto the welcome page where I selected English, it then moved onto the page where the voice says “WELCOME TO ROUTE 66”, I next moved onto the select map page, here I selected Britain and it then closes the application and returns to my mobiles homescreen? No activation, nothing!

I have checked the free memory using Task Manager and this shows over 26MB spare.

I contacted Route 66 and they informed me that "the installation of Mobile 7 on the a device with Windows Mobile 6 was not tested, so we can not assure you if it will work". They have also told me "Unfortunatelly for the moment we do not have any information if a new version will be available for the Windows mobile 6 operating system."

To top it all the supplier wont take it back as I opened the packaging!!

Any advice/fixes/patches would be appreciated!

Looks for the cracked version and use it. It works just fine on my WM6 S710. I suggest www.pxdxa.com or www.ppcwarez.org
