Windows Mobile 6/Activesync

I've set up ActiveSync on my Vario III to only check Outlook emails between 08:45 and 17:15 Monday to Friday. Off-peak, it's set to check only manually.

Why, then, did I get woken up this morning by a new email alert? It had connected to 3G, checked Outlook email and then sounded the new alert tone, even though it's Sunday morning.

Why?

That's odd, my settings work OK, although I have it set to every day between 07:00 and 23:59.

I figured it was a quirk of the ROM I was using on my WM6 Universal, but since it's happening on the Vario III as well, I thought I'd see if anyone else had come across it.

Thanks for deleting the other two threads by the way, the forum was running SO slowly that I got timeouts rather than confirmations and by the time I noticed, there were 3 of them :/

I get the same thing from time to time, and I've no idea when it will happen. I switch to flight mode before bed now, so we won't get woken by 'You have Mail' in the small hours ;)

Also, if I've had WLAN on, and used that during an 'off peak' time to manually sync with my Exchange Server, the device will periodically wake the WLAN connection, even in standby and do a sync! Weird :(

I've tried just about every setting I can think of to stop my TYTN II from Syncing whenever it feels like it. I've gotten it so that it rarely does it, but still every once in a while I will catch it with Activesync running. I tried to call Microsoft about it and they basically told me that I would have to pay them $70. just to talk to a support rep about it. How lame is that?
