T-Mobile Charge for Voicemail?

Hiya guys, maybe some of you experianced T-Mobile customers can spread some light here.

I have just moved to T-Mobile and am in the process of porting my number. When speaking to customer services we got onto the subject of voicemail, apparently you can not use your free mins when calling your voicemail, instead its charged at an extra 12p a min ontop of your tarrif.

I have asked them to cancel my voicemail as I think its madness, CS agreed. Just seems made having £180 of credit and you cant use it for voicemail.

So from looking at your bills is this the case, I have looked online and cannot see anything about this charges, so any additional info would be appreciated.
