Guest Mr.Clark Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 New customer, signed up in store, £89.99 for Flext 20 + WnW (£22.50pm)
Guest Tiny56 Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Zahgurin & Mr.Clark Could you please give details of the store you got the deal from? My local store (Kingston) refuses to do a similar deal, but may consider it if I can provide details of your deals!
Guest Mr.Clark Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 It was a (the?) T-Mobile shop in York (it might be Coney street, I don't know York all that well) The book said £170, she offered it to me for £150 but when she scanned it at the till it came up as £89.99.
Guest SCOOBYG Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Thanks guys. Got mine yesterday for £89.99 on Flext 20 + WnW (£22.50 pm). Was initially offered for £140 but till said £90 :-)
Guest Dox Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Two years ago, I asked T-Mobile sales if/when they were going to get this cool phone made by HTC that I believed they were going to call the Vario. They said they knew nothing about it and didn't believe TMUK would be getting it. So, long story short, I "bought" two Qtek 9100's from Expansys on a £30/month Vodafone 18 month deal and the phones were free. I rang Vodafone a couple of months ago to see if they would get the Kaiser and they said they didn't know, but that if I wanted the Hermes (v1605?) it would cost me £350/handset!!! :) I asked why, and they said the handset price was down to the value they placed on me as a customer!!!! (even more exclamation marks :( )... I was less than impressed, and earlier this week, called T-Mobile. I now have two Vario III's sitting on my desk, both on 18 month contracts, one for £39.99 (Flex35 plus w'n'w) for £37.50/month, and the second for £59.99 (Flex35) for £30/month... I've just called Vodafone for PAC codes and been told I could have had their version of the phones (v1615) for nothing if I'd asked the "cancellations" team instead of the "upgrades" team... :D I can still return the Vario III's under cooling off period, and would save £100 but should I, after the way "Upgrades" treated me? I've always liked T-Mobile and only left because they said they weren't getting the original Vario (Wizard)... What do you think? ;) Dox
Guest Tiny56 Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 I got mine over the weekend. I was prepared to pay the quoted £150 after discount for the handset but again it came up as £80 at the till (new contract 18m FlexT 25 + WnW = £27.50pm). A chap in front of me at the queue picked one up as an upgrade on his contract, and was charged £150 for it...

It's been fantastic not having to worry about data since getting my VIII 3 weeks ago.
Guest fdrzrich Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 I'd stick with T-Mobile. Their data packages are the best. It's been fantastic not having to worry about data since getting my VIII 3 weeks ago. Picked up mine today after waiting for ages to see reviews etc. Got it in Maidstone, was armed with the 'free' advert as well as a printout of this thread. Got denied the free option straight away, but I pretty much knew I would. Got it Flext 25 + WnW (£27.50) for 18 months, she said it would be £150, I said I think it'll be £89 ish ;) Took insurance and it came scanned at £80, nice I thought. Then the nice lady said, "Does £70 sound better?" Result. She blatantly wanted me LOL! Pretty please with that, and the phone seems amazing, not had much chance to play yet, but liking it so far!
Guest daveham Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 I took my Vario 2 into a T-Mobile shop as it broke. They were unable to source a replacement so gave me a Vario 3 - superb as I am due for an upgrade in 4 months!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Wow, that's definitely the best deal yet! ;) P
Guest hyeung Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Took new contract with T-Mobile with Flex20 Web 'n Walk (22.50).....and the handset 49.99 ;) Was originally planning to pay 89.99 like others.....as this was the deal agreed with the shop; This wasnt easy, seeing a couple to shops totally refused this. However, somehow the system didnt allow this package and handset? So the chap had to put me on the Flex25 and promised to change this down to Flex20 later on. As it was put thru Flex25, i got more discount i.e. 50quid!! :( RESULT! However, had to make sure that Customer service changed my packaged down to Flex20 due to this situation.....So i'm now on the correct package @ 22.50 :D Would normally have to pay 169.99 down to 49.99....
Guest knonist Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 This is what I got with vodaphone today (I had a Vario III before, but it was faulty, so I returned it) I am a new customer here is the deal: 50quid for the V1615, 35quid a month for 12 months (12 months contract), 6 months 1/2 price, Free delivery not a bad deal... Total cost of ownership= £375....sweet
Guest weeerob Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 My Vario 3 was £100 but I'm on a 12 month, £25pcm contract as I don't want to be tied down to a long contract. I don't use all my allowance so after 3/4 months whenever it is I may reduce my monthly spend anyway. I've been on T-Mobile for just over a year since leaving Orange. I've been impressed with the customer service, any time I've had an issue a quick call to t-mob and it's sorted. Very little waiting on hold. Compared to Orange who's customer service had completely gone down the toilet.
Guest bazzlad Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Got mine free on an 18month Flext 35 and W+W 1 gig package - but not from the T mob shop!
Guest fatmcgav Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 I'm picking mine up this eve for £100 on an upgrade - bonus is they've let me keep all my contract discount from when i worked for Currys, so i've got Flex 35 + W&W Plus for half price ;) :D Couldn't be hapier - cant wait. Guna be a late nite tonight me thinks. :( G
Guest Chiribo Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 (edited) Went into the Taunton store today to ask them if the phone is £80 odd on the Flext 20 W&W, the assistant looked at her piece of paper and said it's £200. So I tell her I've heard from a fair few people that it's less than that and if she could check it on the till for me to which she insists the only way she can put it under the till is if I sign the contract, to which I obviously said no ¬_¬ Gotta admit, was quite displeased and think I'll have to phone up T-Mobile to see what I can get from them ;) Edited November 3, 2007 by Chiribo
Guest chonkey Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 Bromley T-Mobile late on Friday afternoon... £35 for the handset on the 37.50 w+w. 18 month and a free 2gb memory card... Just waiting for my pac from Orange. ;)
