Guest borg.cube Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Hi, I just got word today (and I ordered) one of the new custom leather cases for the Tytn II from Piel Frama. Their page link for the case is http://www.pielframa.com/cases_htc_tytn_II.htm Their cases are not cheap but you'll find the highest reviews for them. BC
Guest Flubster Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 trying to find a case that doesn't have a stupid membrane over the keyboard is proving difficult. Think i'm going for the aluminum case from proporta once its released. Flubster

Guest Swampie Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 (edited) But looking at the pictures of it, whilst in portrait mode you'll loose the ability to use the jog-dial, left OK button and left Voice-control button - at least, not easily or using your thumb/gripping finger. Additionally, it's not suitable (in portrait mode) for left handed users as the thumb, which does most of the gripping, would have to fold the cover over the screen to get anything for your thumb/hand to grab. Edit: Actually, I guess you can fold the cover right back on itself, although I suspect that might start to crack the leather over a time. Love the way they call it "Cowskin"... that's leather in my book. ;) Edited October 19, 2007 by Swampie
Guest Phil Lee Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I prefer to keep my VIII out of a case. I have a JavoEdge anti-glare screen protector on it which works very well. I did the same with my Vario and that survived for nearly 2 years intact. I don't think I could cope with the extra bulk of a case.

I'd never use mind whilst in a case, but I always keep it on my belt/waistband with my old Vario holder. Saves it getting damaged by keys/coins etc in pockets. Is always accessible, even whilst sitting down (I can get it out and put it into a Brodit holder whilst sitting, no need to wriggle to get it out.). And also means that I can always have it in the same place whatever I'm wearing, whether big pockets, small pockets, leg pockets or even no pockets. Everything has a waistband... ;)
Guest ChefChaudart Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I'd ordered one for myself, but as it is a brand new product, it could take 10 days to get it. I will keep you informed. Anyway, for what I have seen, it seems to be the case I'm looking for ;)
