Guest Dezire Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 UK rom upgrade released and low and behold it does not work with Orange handsets. Anyone have a solution?
Guest Dead Cell Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Here you go mate, just click on the link below or copy and paste it into your browser. It wont ask you to put anything in, it'll just download the ROM straight away. I've also got an Orange i600. But when I filled in all the details, I did it all in CAPITALS and it seemed to have worked. First make sure you have activesync 4.5 installed and then install the Samsung Driver, then upgrade the ROM! 1. Samsung Driver: http://fus.samsungmobile.com/i600/Samsung_..._modem_4.34.zip 2. ROM: http://fus.samsungmobile.com/I600/i600UXXupdater.exe Hope this helps. Good luck and let us know how u get on. D.C

Guest Dezire Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 This does not work. I had downloaded this already mate. The problem is that when I click the upgrader it tells me that i have the incorrect software version - yes, I have tried uplugging the usb etc. Also, has anyone found that activesync 4.5 is hogging 99% of their resources?! It has slowed my computer right down. Nice one microsoft/samsung.

Microsoft should pull this application as it's hogging system resources like no other!

Guest Dezire Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Well it looks like no one out there has come across this problem. Anyhow, had enough of this piece of shittttte phone and it's now going on to Ebay. The worst phone I have enver had the displeasure of using! bump
Guest Alsicole Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 Unfortunately, it may just be the Orange version that has issues. I'm loving my unlocked one (using it with T-Mo SIM). Alison

Guest spacerace Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 Check this one out... http://www.internet-tools.co.uk/blog/index...ricking-hacking thanks, think I looked at something similar before, but struggled to find an 'unbranded' i600 wm5 image. will take a look at his *hint* though...
Guest spacerace Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 thanks, think I looked at something similar before, but struggled to find an 'unbranded' i600 wm5 image. will take a look at his *hint* though... sat down and had a go at this over the last couple of days. I definitely have the right files available but when I try the first step - run the updater for i600XXGD1 - it finds the phone successfully, but I get the message "select an image to download" with no options available! I've Google'd and about 2 other people have had the same problem but no-one has an answer!
Guest 36crazyfists Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Trust me it works if you flash it to an unlocked firmware first. basically you have to find a software version that will upgrade from the orange one, then upgrade the wm6 flash from there. sounds complicated but i think thers a guide on here somewhere... :)
