Guest jimbouk Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 On 31st Oct, O launch their Broadband Max deal for contract clients. For £15 per month, you get their max broadband deal and home phone - and no BT line rental! I currentl pay Pipex £20 per month to include broadband and 3000 mins of calls and pay BT £10 per month line rental. With O's deal you get inclusive calls to 30 countries, free evening and weekend calls and free calls using the livebox line. Got to be worth it?
Guest Monolithix Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I believe its actually available now?
Guest jimbouk Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Max was available for a while at £24 per month, but its only today they launch the £15 per month deal for O contract clients. I am getting my disconnect code from Pipex...
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I've thought about moving from Pipex to O too, for the 'no BT line rental' thing. Problem is, Pipex are rock solid, and i've heard so many bad things about O broadband... P
Guest ror100 Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Hi Paul, I've been with Orange broadband for about 5 years now, and have no complaints whatsoever. I think if you have a bit of techno savvy then it helps as the customer support is in India, but the only time I've had to use it, they were very helpful and got the problem sorted in 5 minutes. On an aside, the livebox. Have you seen them? They are massive!
Guest jimbouk Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I did hear a few things about O in the past, but I have a few clients who are now with them and the adsl has been resilient, the livebox has been reliable and their phone service has been good. So I will be the guinea pig and will let you all know if its a huge mistake.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Hmm, i'm tempted then. Shame they don't give you a free laptop any more ;) P
Guest Monolithix Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Livebox only allows 6 wifi clients though! (why?!)
Guest jimbouk Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Probably because they don't want any businesses using the livebox and home packages? Their Livebox Pro is for businesses and includes voice switching etc.
