How long to enter your PIN?

Guys, when you switch your phones on, how long do you have to enter your PIN?

Since my hard reset I've been given next to no time. If I dilly for longer than 10-15 seconds the PIN screen disappears and goes into the Home Screen with no reception.

Which PIN? Handset PIN or SIM PIN? I use both!

But, I have occasionally seen my Vario III ignore the SIM PIN request and just go straight to the home screen with no reception and no SIM PIN dialog at all. Did it on Friday evening when I powered down the device whilst it was charging and then turned it on. Removed the charger, powered down, and then restarted and it asked for the PIN that time.

I believe the SIM PIN is a feature of the SIM itself. Failure to ask for a PIN may be that the SIM wasn't actually powered down correctly - thus as it wasn't powered down, the SIM doesn't ask for the PIN - however it then doesn't start correctly and you get no reception.

I don't have a solution though.

Thanks for the reply Swapie. It's the SIM PIN thats the problem. I never had this problem untill my hard reset.

I have a solution though... just done turn the phone off ;)
