Guest tsutton Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I've been looking at the Extended ROM for this phone and found out that it doesn't have any. However I soon found that the *.CAB files are in the Windows directory. I have updated the WiKi with the info http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/HTC_Kaiser#Extended_Rom But for you all, I'm copying & pasting in here. ;) F-Secure Anti-Virus - AV_PPC5.0_T-Mobile_UK_Customer_ROM_VER3_0_13271.cab UNKNOWN - HP.CAB MMS settings or something related - MMS35_OMA_CP_SP_060728.cab Set the Pocket Internet Explorer's start page - PP_pIE_DefaultPage_TMO_UK.CAB T-Mobile's default Ringtones - TMO_Default_Ringtones.CAB T-Mobile Connection settings - TMUK_Conn.CAB WiFi Country Code - WiFicountrycode.CAB I am not sure what HB.CAB is... anyone know? Hope this is useful to anyone.

Guest tsutton Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 MSPacman? Tomtom? Interesting... and with the filename of hopreject.lst, it's an "reject" listing unless it's not. Will need to have a closer look tonight!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Those look like files from the Tilt ROM. P

Guest Deathace Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 Those look like files from the Tilt ROM. P I would have guessed that certain files are standard to the HTC device itself and the relevant operators either include the files and remove the hash from that particular file or leave it as is and setup separate cab files. Begs the question though if HTC have these listed in files so readily available for people to see, why are they not all on the original HTC TyTN II? unless of course HTC have limited their own device as a means of offering the operators a choice that differs to the others. The .xml in that cab file is pretty much the same as in others just a mkdir, copy and delete part of some install script. to be perfectly honest there is absolutely nothing in that cab file that looks like it affects anything. It adds a registry entry in HKCU\Software\HTC\Customize\Ver = 1 and thats it. Russ

Guest pika28 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 It's ok, I found. I am French and I have trouble with English. On the other hand, to change the extended Rom, simply modify files configxxx.txt? I want it does more CABs Orange. Thanks

Whatever changes you made to the file, it will be wiped out when you do a hard reset. No one has found a way how to do this (so far)...
Guest pika28 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 We can say that "Rom extended" no longer exists and that the cabs are built into the ROM. I just flash ROM with HTC Europe. What is the latest? Can we save the ROM to install? If so, there are a tuto-il. Thanks
