How to keep backlight on during a call?

I have had my MDA Vario III for a week and love it - upgraded from an Orange SVP M3100 and it's a big improvement.

One annoying problem I have noticed is that when making a call, the backlight goes out after a few seconds. This is a pain when having to input numbers such as when inputting account numbers, PIN numbers or when choosing menu options on automated messages.

I have read somewhere else on this forum that the solution is to periodically keep pressing the joystick to keep the screen active. This is a top of the range device - surely there must be a more permanent fix?

On my Hermes the screen stayed active throughout the call. Anyone else aware of this problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to Kaiser Tweaks and download the CAB file dude. Theres an option on there that'll allow you to set time before backlight switches off.
