Guest xtreme__boi Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Not sure why? As usually when I connect the Vario III via the USB cable, it simply connects. However today, it wont Sync, or not even connect? Any ideas?

Guest hotphil Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 I'd go with resetting phone and PC. If you can't reboot the PC (and assuming it's XP (I don't know about all this fancy WMDC/Vista stuff)) then killing the various ActiveSync processes (wcescomm, wcesmgr) should do the trick. Also, if you're on a lappy and using cached Exchange mode in Outlook, make sure that in this logon session, it's successfully updated with the Exchange server - mine seems to through a wobbly if I attempt ActiveSync without having first updated Outlook.
Guest develop4life Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 i assume you have activesync 4.5+Do one of the following:On a Windows Mobile powered Pocket PC, tap Start > Settings > Connections. On a Windows Mobile powered smartphone, from the Home screen, click Start > Settings > Connections. [*]Click or tap USB to PC. [*]Clear the Enable advanced network functionality check box. Note This feature is not supported on all devices. To find out if this feature is available for your device, contact the support number in your device documentation.
Guest RickDawson Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) Turn off all wireless connections and mobile data connections before plugging in USB cable from PC. I had problems connecting, and this seems to solve it for me. i assume you have activesync 4.5+Do one of the following:On a Windows Mobile powered Pocket PC, tap Start > Settings > Connections. On a Windows Mobile powered smartphone, from the Home screen, click Start > Settings > Connections. Guest xtreme__boi Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 Argh, is happening again! But I don't know why... I have tried: i assume you have activesync 4.5+ Do one of the following: On a Windows Mobile powered Pocket PC, tap Start > Settings > Connections. I really don't know why this is happening. As it worked fine for the first few weeks after receving my Vario III. But nower days, it does Sync with PC ;)
Guest Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Argh, is happening again! But I don't know why... I have tried: But doesn't work. I really don't know why this is happening. As it worked fine for the first few weeks after receving my Vario III. But nower days, it does Sync with PC ;) I had this on my old M3100 and yesterday it happened with my Vario III. I am using Vista with WMDC and assumed (just like many others) that it is simply because WMDC is one of the worst pieces of software Microsoft have ever produced. Everything was always so stable with ActiveSync on my XP machine. Yesterday I resored my PC back to the last restore point and hey presto it worked fine - may be worth a try on XP.
Guest jimbouk Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I haven't had a problem with WMDC since Vista launched. The beta was rubbish but 6.1 is superb.
