Guest fatmcgav Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Hi there, I was playing with my Vario III last night, and i was trying to send a file to it via Bluetooth. Whenever i Right Clicked on the file, Send to, Bluetooth, Vario it gave me an error about being unable to create a FTP connection. Tried Browsing to my Vario from my Pc, and it gives me the same error. Now i checked all my Bluetooth settings, and File Sharing is enabled. However, if i use Bluetooth explorer from my Vario and browse to my PC, i can see the files shared, and copy them to the Vario. Any ideas why i cant send from PC to Vario, but can copy from PC to Vario using Vario??? Cheers Gavin

Guest dolbe666 Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 what bleutooth software have you got on your pc? the default microsoft one is terrible for file transfers. ive found belkins drivers and software are best for using the pc with a mobile. Also beware when your using bluetooth explorer and tomtom it will cause the maps not to show in tomtom. this is because the bluetooth explorer makes a virtual drive that makes it look like a storage card to some applications including tomtom and tomtom will find it and show as having no maps. turn off bluetooth explorer and remove the bluetooth explorer folder and tomtom works again. I spent 3 hours diagnosing why tomtom wasnt showing my maps before i tracked it back to me turning on the bluetooth explorer
