disable 3g in Moto Q9h

Does anyone know how to make this thing just use Edge? I live in an area where it goes in and out and it is killing my battery. I had the same problem with a Blackjack, but used a code to get into the admin screen and lock it on Edge. The code doesn't work with this phone. Can anyone please help?
