Guest crystal_clear Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 i know there are alot of people that love the m3100 and now the tytn ii. Just like i do, and i know sometimes orange are really lame or just quite backwards in their approach to problems or issue's raised.... But with all the extremely talented peeps who use both this and other forums and the number of brilliant solutions that have been achieved and circulated... Would someone please shed some light on the orange line two issue, and put alot of unhappy peeps back in the land of the living and "phone me happy on my line 2!" would really love to start using my 2 line sim in my bootiful tytn ii, instead i am chained to using a PAYG sim in a 480 quid phone and using my 2 line sim in a banged up nokia n70 (i know i should wash my mouth out, bring that name to the forum) but someone must be able to sort this small problem..... Have just on a lighter not, unlocked and super cid'd my M3100, and installed WM6 (black satin) rom, stability - superb, no more lock ups or freezing, phone works, like a dream, unlike under wm5 with orange rom.... I know like smarties someone out there has the answer - please step forward and claim the praise! look forward to any help or advice that is offered... cheers
Guest Monolithix Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Sorry to disapoint, however line 2 has never been supported on PPC, nor have i ever seen any hacks to enable it. I'm willing to stand corrected, but i wouldn't get my hopes up if i were you i'm afraid ;)
Guest jimbouk Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 I saw a thread somewhere where someone couldnt get rid of the "line1" indicator off their Kaiser.
Guest tinyk Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 When i had my orange badged Universal i had Line 2 on my Orange Sim and from memory it worked but you couldn't change line, ie your incoming calls were fine but you couldn't change to Line 2 for outgoing calls. I dunno why you have Line 2 different people different choices but if its so you can have a second number and your a business customer you can still use everyphone on your line two and divert it directly to your line 1 number. I now use Single Number so two phones one Number and this works really well, the Tytn II gos with the main sim normal use and text, when im in the office i get the E65 out with second sim and use that for calls whilst leaving my TYTN II in the cradle charging and hooked up to outlook and Jeymobile for sending texts.

Guest WINWIZ Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 how do you change between the two lines??? is your phone a sim free tytn ii or badged with someone elses rom in it??? SIM free - HTC badged with original HTC ROM. bring the keypad up and keep # pressed. you should see 1 or 2 at the top of the screen next to the reception indicator
Guest crystal_clear Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 (edited) SIM free - HTC badged with original HTC ROM. bring the keypad up and keep # pressed. you should see 1 or 2 at the top of the screen next to the reception indicator I've put my 2 line sim into the device - with flashed shipping rom installed, YES - your 100% correct 1. Changes from line 1 to line 2 using # key 2. Dials out from either line 1 or 2 3. Unfortunately i can only receive calls on line 1 4. line 2 when called gives a discontinued tone. 5. texts sent to line 2 number arrive perfectly.... now thats definately a strange one.... It seems to me that nobody wanted to admit to this at HTC when i rang them some weeks ago - this then now reduces this issue to such a small one, all we now need is someone with suffient understanding of ROM's to do a bit of repair and tweak, for such an awesome phone you'd think HTC would have spent a little time to perfect it... this handset is capable of so much more than what it is currently offering with a small amount of help...... so anyone who is reading this, can you help????
