Can anyone tell me which was the first Phone enabled PDA?

Not sure if it was the first, but the O2 XDA (HTC Wallaby) was one of the first initally released in 32MB format in 2002.

Enabled *as sold* or with a GSM add-on?

Ubinetics did a palm 5 add-on feb 2001

Sagem wa3050 announced november 2000but I didn't see one till march 2001. HTC made the device, incidently.

well going for a 'converged' device as opposed to a PDA with CF phone module, or even the StarTac with the PDA 'backpack' organiser addon, looks to me like the Nokia 9000 released in 1996 should be a contender...

Probably the first wireless phone/pda device was the Qualcomm pdq 800 in 1999, a cell phone with a built-in Palm Pilot. Later in 1999 the Neopoint 1000 went on sale, the first cell phone with wireless web access. In 2001, Samsung released the SPH-i300, the first combined color Palm PDA and cell phone.
