n73 tomtom and gps

Hi guys

This is my first time on here so be gentle.

Quick question to all please.

May sound like a newbie question but driving me mad.

I have N73 phone updates firmware

Tom Tom v6.01 (not illegal)

GPS receover simoilar to BT q210 but 51 not 32 channels.

Manual with gps very sparse and no software to go with it.

Q is: N73 can pair with gps via bluetooth, tomtom software on phone, do I have to anything with gps as nothing seems to be happening? When I start tomtom on n73 all I get is the front screen saying tomtom and a spinning globe.

Please help as all are goiung thru window soon.
