just got a new T-mobile / htc Shadow

...as far as decertifying it, adding apps, what apps are out there, etc. I'm also not real happy about having to use Outlook as my PC's contact manager and calendar; I use Rainlendar instead and would love to be able to import .ics files to my Shadow if possible.

I'd never even heard of Rainlendar before now :( I don't think you can import ICS files on the device directly (wouldn't be hard to write an app to allow that however), but if you are using Rainlendar Pro, it seems you can sync it to Outlook, which might be a solution - don't use Outlook except for syncing.

re: adding apps, decertifying etc., i'm currently pondering buying a Shadow myself ;)

yeah it's a really nice phone except for the WM6 tics and lock-ins.

i just got MoDaCo's DoNew CAB files and how do i install them on my shadow?

i am new to this smartphone thing and want to know how to get apps like this one on my phone.

i can't wait to create new word docs on the phone but dont know how/where to put the files!

im also new to modaco but im a computer programmer and i need help on a tmobile shadow but i just need to unlock the BLOODY phone!!!!!!!! i say that in frustration hours of googling turned up nothing but false hopes and unending links and leads to find out the same thing i already know and dred at the same time... i have to pay someone for a imei code that can be created using a program grrrrrr that i code most likely create if wasn't for my lack of knowledge on smart phones!!!! grrrrr please help thanks

also i have tried over at xda only to be frustrated by the lack of interest for anyone new at a forum.... 24 hours 85 views not a single tid bit of info frustration sets in very quick... considering im returning to the uk shortly!!! i cant wait one semester in the good old us of a and missing home already, count down is over December 8th!!!!!!!!!! mums cooking no more ramen noodles and all nighters boy i miss home!!!!!! sure will miss the parties though oh well ill be back over state side in February.

There are some unlocks for sale on eBay, but I understand imei-check.co.uk will have an unlock available soon too!
