GMail problem

I have a problem with Gmail on the 3 network. I have entered my POP settings AND IMAP settings on the phone. It’s a XDA Graphite with WM6. Now if I connect to the internet via WiFi, I can access Gmail via POP or Imap. Everything works. However, when I try to access via 3G, it doesn’t seem to connect to the server, and the message comes up ' check username and password '. These settings work via WiFi but not via 3G on the 3 network. I can access the net ok on the phone with 3g, and all the other email accounts can be access via 3g, just not Gmail. The java client works, and works well, just that I prefer having all my contacts accessible on the default email program. Anyone got any ideas? Does 3 block off certain ports? If so is there a work around?

AFAIK 3 don't block certain ports, so that's really weird.

Next time i'm out and about with my 3 SIM in i'll try the same! Anyone else?
