Guest united Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 hiya ive been a smartphone user for years but jumped ship recently to a nokia n95 (yes i know!!). saw the reviews for the kaiser and thought yes please!. got it yesterday and was initially a bit disapointed. it was on t-mobile and seemed a bit sluggish, no installed live mail or messenger (why t-mobile you let me have it on my n95??) windows sync centre is pretty rubbish i have to admit as well. so this morning took the plunge and flashed it to the htc rom and WOW now i have the smartphone i thought i was getting!! live mail arrives through 3g sometime faster than my pc gets it! i now absolutely love this phone although still trying to remember all the places things are kept!!. the only bug i have at the moment is i can only find the option for delivery reports on mms and not on sms (ive downloaded both the vario 3 and kaiser manuals and the option jsut isnt there??) anyone got any clues on this one? cheers euan
Guest hotphil Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) took me a while to find it go into the sms account menu tools options sms/mms and it's there Edited November 9, 2007 by hotphil

Guest bigboybrin Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 so this morning took the plunge and flashed it to the htc rom and WOW now i have the smartphone i thought i was getting!! cheers euan Hi Euan, Can you give me a link to info on where to get the HTC ROM, and how to flash? Since there's no current way to overclock the processor in this thing, I'll try anything else to make it faster. If what you say is true about the HTC ROM, then I want it! Cheers.

Guest yelac21271 Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 Really interested in doing this how easy or hard is it ? Only had mine since Friday on T mobile (mda vario III) don't realy want to bugger it up
Guest mandt Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 The old advice always applies to anyone interested dipping their toes in the murky waters of flashing ROMs for the first time :( xda-developers is the website you need to visit, go to the Kaiser forum, and read, read read, until your eyes are sore! read the stickies first, read all the threads concerning any ROMs you're interested in. and when you feel confident and know what you are doing you are ready, NOT before. You may need to set aside a good couple of hours for this, there are threads over there that span 100 pages and more. Happy Flashing ;)
