Guest MetroidManiac Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 For awhile I have thought that my touch has been unresponsive from when I first got it, you have to press quite a bit to get it to recognise your actually poking it, and every time I do press the screen, the LCD "Wavers" like on a laptop screen when you press it. Now I DEFINATLEY know its unresponsive, as one of my friends just recived one, And I onlly need to use feather like touches to make it do anything, should I ask t-mobile for a replacement? Seeing as my device IS preforming at a "sub-standard" level. Anyone else had this problem?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Odd, I have a MDA Touch, and it is a nightmare too, you really have to press it hard! ;) P
Guest MetroidManiac Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Odd, I have a MDA Touch, and it is a nightmare too, you really have to press it hard! ;) P Yea its strange, my mate got his origional touch stolen, than t-moblile sent him an UNBRANDED replacement (lucky....) And his works like a dream. I recon I should march into a t-mobile store demanding a replacement.
Guest mandt Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Same here, MDA Touch, it's surprising how hard you need to press sometimes. Is your friend's one a T-Mo one too, or a different carrier? (thinking ROMs here ;) )
Guest MetroidManiac Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Naw, he got an unbranded HTC, would it have something to do with the roms then?
Guest BorgmanJayce Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I've got a T-Mobile MDA Touch and I'm having a similar problem as well... Every so often it slows down and causes programs to crash even though I install them to my memory card instead of the internal memory [except for some programs like PocketPlus].

No offence, but what has that got to do with the screen? On another note, im going to take back to the shop, a small area of my screen hardly responds (the quicklaunch on the home screen) so I think its definatley faulty.
Guest mandt Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Let us know how the replacement works out ;)

On another note, im going to take back to the shop, a small area of my screen hardly responds (the quicklaunch on the home screen) so I think its definatley faulty. It has everything to do with the screen as everytime I press the screen every few minutes, it freezes up and I can't move the cursor at all! ;)
Guest MetroidManiac Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 UPDATE Sent it off to t-mobile for repair, seems as if I did have a faulty device.
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 My HTC-branded Touch is quite easy, don't have to press hard I thought I saw something in the regitry that look like a sensitivity setting HKLM/Software/OEM/TFLOsettings (or something like that)
Guest bydandie Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 UPDATE Sent it off to t-mobile for repair, seems as if I did have a faulty device. I got mine exchanged, although I have a business account so that might make a difference. After three devices with the same issue, I got the MDA Touch 256Mb.
Guest MetroidManiac Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Nice, im hoping to get a replacement, I rekon thats easier for them than repairing the screen.
Guest bydandie Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Nice, im hoping to get a replacement, I rekon thats easier for them than repairing the screen. I'd be very surprised, it took two exchange attempts to finally convince them to just swap to the new model. You might be lucky though.
Guest MetroidManiac Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Came back and they sent a new device! But now Im worried im gonna have the same problem again! Well if that happens,t-mob better bloody well repair it again!
