Looky what I found lying around ;) Tossed in a couple of freshly charged AAs and it's happy as a clam!

Compaq C140! The default date in the calendar was January of 1996 :(

Nearly perfect form factor (maybe make it a convertible instead of straight clamshell), give it up-to-date internals and I'd buy two in a heartbeat.

My first one was a Compaq C120 that I got from Radio Shack for $100 when I was in high school. I took it with me almost everywhere, you never know when a brainstorm would need an outline in Word or some numbers crunched in Excel!

The touchscreen died, then the whole thing did, and I eventually got that one (and 4 other PDAs, heh) while in college.

A quick Googling puts the weight at 380 grams ;)

I had a Philips Nino as my first CE device IIRC, and a Trium Mondo as my first CE phone ;)

Too big for my pockets, and can't sync with work PC (no way they'd let me use my own).

(Referring to the Asus)

My first device like that was a Psion 5MX the one with the bigger memory and in the day used my Nokia 8210 as an IR modem for web surfing on it

I used to have a Cassiopeia E-125!

http://www.amazon.com/Casio-Cassiopeia-E-1...t/dp/B00004YKHT

... features a fast 150 MHz processor, convenient Microsoft software, and 32 MB of storage ... a TFT color display with full colors and a powerful RAM

Full colors and powerful RAM eh?

And all that weighs just ... 453 grams (that'll be about 4 times my Touch then)

Oh those were the days. Using IrDA to connect to my Nokia 8210 for 9.6k email downloads.
