Guest defusion Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 (edited) So I have a motorola Q. Ive been trying to run the documents to go trial on my phone for a few days now that site assures that the phone is compatible. Ive downloaded a .exe which is said to be ran on the computer which then activesync will kick in to help install it onto the phone or to simple run a .cab on the phone its self. now the errors when i run the .exe on my pc all i get is invalid win32 application. Now I know its not my pc becaues I have tried it on my laptop (brand new) and a few other office computers all running different OS. When I put the cab file directly onto my phone both as one file into the storage card and another directly on the phones documents and i run it all it says is istallation unseccsessful. I master reset my phone as well as downloading the most current upgrade for my Q and I am still getting the same problem. Ive also searched around on the internet for previous verisons of DTG and downloaded a few other .exe and .cab ones and they all gave me the same results. Has any one else experienced this problem or knows a way to fix this It would be much appreciated! I also made multiple contacts to dataviz in which they told me to use active sync of course that was useless info. When i told them i also downloaded there roadsync and installed that to make sure it wasnt my phone, they told me that, that file shouldnt even be capable with my phone... wtf? Ive also ran and installed many programs .cab's befor and after i reset my phone. as well as tried to install DTG first befor any others off a fresh reset. THANKS EDIT: Well I decided to download the mobility package from dataviz.com that includes documents to go as well as many other programs not really likeing the fact i would have to install many other programs with it. But I found that that did work. So i guess if anyone else had the same problem as me there is a workaroudn for you but if anyone knows why it was still doing that it would be appreciated.
