Guest Monolithix Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 No luck here yet after a quick play...
Guest J273 Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Ive heard it can take upto 1600 x1200 ;)
Guest Monolithix Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Yeah, closer inspection i found it worked more reliably with the cable plugged in at *both* ends... I'm sure i saw 1600x1200 on the list, seems to have gone now, but my lcd only does up to 12x10 anyway so it may just be xp trying to be clever...
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Will try with 1680xx1050 tomorrow! P
Guest leonxki Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 So, did you use the switch laptop off, plug in monitor, switch lappy back on trick? Or it just works with lappy on?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Well, there's a FN key shortcut to switch right? P
Guest Monolithix Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Yep but Xandros won't pick up an external screen unless you plug it in when off apparently. Works fine under Windows though!
Guest ChrisW72 Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Plugged into my projector last night - somehow seems wrong for the eee to be on a 100" screen! Couldn't quite get the native resolution although today I've read that there are more choices in the advanced desktop, will try again tonight. Had the eee since yesterday and it's tick so many boxes. As a complete novice being able to work wirelessly on my sofa, surf the internet on my projector, remote desktop to my XP PC at home and work, all in 24 hours is testament to how easy things are to get done. And to think I was nervous about Linux.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Yeah, they did a very good job with the standard build IMHO! P
