Guest CorruptedSanity Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 I have a program installed which doesnt show up in programs folder. Neither does it show up in uninstall programs. I found it by navigating to program files\OmegaOne How do I get rid of it? Why doesnt it show in programs under start menu or in the uninstall list? thanks
Guest mandt Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 (edited) Firstly try re-installing it to see if that makes it appear in Remove Programs If that doesnt work you'll have to remove it manually. delete the folder in program files, and any registry keys it has made - if any. It's just a simple Calculator app so you should be able to do this safely enough without worryng about it affecting the rest of the OS Edited November 15, 2007 by mandt

How do I go about removing it from the registry?
Guest mandt Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 (edited) You can DL trials of all the products from here: http://www.omegaone.com/pocketpc/default.htm If this doesn't work and you need to to it manually, and edit the registry, you will need a registry editor. I use Resco explorer's registry editor but for free I would recommend Total Comander Edited November 15, 2007 by mandt
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 That's very weird you didn't get the relevant entries though! P
Guest CorruptedSanity Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 mandt I do have a registry editor phm something I think. Which registry values do I alter/delete? Paul which relevant entries? Do you mean file in programs (start menu) and uninstall list?
Guest CorruptedSanity Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Thanks, reinstalling it allowed me to uninstall. How come it was hidden from uninstall list and programs menu? Just curious because possibly in the future there will be tons of programs installed but not appearing. Lots of space waste.
Guest mandt Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Just a one-off glitch, nothing serious to worry about. Anyway you know how to fix it now if it ever happens again ;)
