Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 I'm sure I didn't imagine it right? There's a 'settings' item on the 'wheel'? Mine seems to have disappeared! Odd! P
Guest chaznet Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Not sure what you're referring to, I haven't seen one during my couple weeks of using the device... I'm sure I didn't imagine it right? There's a 'settings' item on the 'wheel'? Mine seems to have disappeared! Odd! P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 On the home screen, there's an item with a little 'cog' icon that lets you enable wifi, set profile etc. no? It was there when I turned the device on I swear, it's gone now... but then I have been hacking the device about all afternoon to figure out my tweaks (i'll probably hard reset later). P
Guest chaznet Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Oh... that... no, you didn't imagine it -- it should still be there, but it sounds like you're making good progress on how to add and delete sections to the homescreen... Before you know it, we'll all have weather on our homescreen ;)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Wonder how I broke that then, the settings item just doesn't come up, lol! ;) Incidentally, you can add any item in the settings menu to the settings item on the homescreen with a simple reg tweak too! P
Guest RazorDullWit Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Wonder how I broke that then, the settings item just doesn't come up, lol! :( This exact same thing happened to me. I downloaded the registry cleaner from the link in this very forum, and started cleaning registry entries willy-nilly. Then my settings cog disappeared. I'll probably just do a hard reset and start all over. rDw
Guest Impwiz Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 did anyone find a fix for this? My icon has dissappeared as well. I was cleaning the invalid registry values via sktools lite, it was gone after. I would rather fix the issue before resorting to a hard reset.
