Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Does anyone know how long the button 'pulses' for when you receive a new notification? I think i've found where it lives in the registry ;) P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 If anyone wants to change it, try changing: HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\Keypad\BreathTimeout The value is in milliseconds, i.e. a value of 3600000 should have the device pulsing for an hour ;) P
Guest chaznet Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Phone ringing The light flashes on with 3 quick pulses and then fades off. New E-mail Breathing (the light cycles between fading on and fading off ). New Text Message Long Flashing (the light flashes on every three seconds, repeating three times). New Voice Message Short Flashing (the light flashes on every second, repeating three times). Power On The light slowly fades on and then slowly fades off. Does anyone know how long the button 'pulses' for when you receive a new notification? I think i've found where it lives in the registry ;) P
Guest chaznet Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Which notification does this extend? All of them, or just a missed call... voicemail... new email... new text message. If it's all, then does it just cycle through the different notifications? If anyone wants to change it, try changing: HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\Keypad\BreathTimeout The value is in milliseconds, i.e. a value of 3600000 should have the device pulsing for an hour ;) P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 This extends 'breathe', but you should be able to extend any! P
Guest chaznet Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 The email notification is the one that 'breaths' -- does that mean we'd see new email alerts for an extended period, or any notification would extend and use the 'breath' alert? This extends 'breathe', but you should be able to extend any! P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Email ones should extend! P
Guest jasco Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 hello... new to the fourm, I tried to change the value with no luck.... it warns me about the change in the registry, but when i hit done the value remains the same. Anyone have any luck actually changing the value to anything different then what it came with ? ~Thanks Email ones should extend! P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 You need to use "SDA Application Unlock" first... P
Guest chaznet Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Have you changed the setting on yours? Personally, I'd rather have extended notification for texts, missed calls, and voicemail but >not< email. I'm thinking this would take the form of the intial alert-type specific flashing and then an extended alert that's the same regardless of the event (i.e. rapid flash 3 times for a new text and then breathing until you hit a button)... Maybe a 3rd party app will come out to assist... With luck, it would include an option to turn of the navigation wheel rotating function ;) Email ones should extend! P
